you've done a beautiful portrait and love especially the composition, bringing in an element of your still life work.

Well done for sticking with it, it was well worth it as this is a beautiful painting! Even though I love the precision of your still lifes, it's great to see your versatility in this slightly looser style. The best artists are always challenging themselves with something new ;)

Sadie, a couple of questions: which medium did you star working in? which colours were on your palette? and did you glaze? thanks r.

Beautiful work Sadie!
I specially love the way that you interplay cool and warm notes.
The detail of the clavicle is really beautiful. You can see blue notes intermingling with subtle redder notes.

My only concern is with the highlights in the face, there are a little too bright, but perhaps is an artifact of the photograph, not something of the painting.

Any case, is a beautiful painting
In some way reminds me the style of Aristides.

What I love is the overall statement you've made. There is more personality in this classic realist work than 100 other portraits put together. Awesome. She is offering that dish with humility and a quiet enthusiasm. Brilliant, IMHO.

Absolutely beautiful Sadie! I love the small detail jpegs you added for us. It helps to get a feel for all the sensitive work that goes into each of your paintings. The centered composition and the concept of offering feels so good. Wish I could see it in person.
