Fascinating. am looking forward to more info on your workshop in Florida. About how long did it take to complete the Wrapped Silver Goblet? I suspect it is done in stages??? It is absolutely beautiful.
beautiful . so delicated and sutil .
Thank you! Honor yes I work in stages, it took about 40 hours to complete, spread over 6 weeks.
Sadie, you have an amazing combination of talent, skills and patience!! Bravo, this is gorgeous!!!
The painting is stunning, the video is incredible!
Hope the best for the show, and for the workshop too (sigh)... (I wish I could attend)
Best regards,
Carolina
what kind of music?
The music is Melody Gardot, amazing jazz singer/songwriter.
Beautiful, bold but delicate! I noticed a few brief shots of your palette with a blue (cobalt by chance?). Can you speak to the question of arranging your palette? Do you premix those beautiful warm and cool grays ahead of time? Any suggestions for working with so many temperatures and values?
Hi Deborah, I mix up a string of neutral value puddles ahead of time with my palette knife, then as I work I use my brush to mix and nudge the neutral grays towards one hue or another.
A full description of my color mixing approach and palette is here:

What a beautiful painting Thank you for posting the video, I enjoyed watching you work.
Wow, I´m in awe! This is absolutely gorgeous. I´m looking over at my painting on the easel, it´s terrible!!! hahaha, I adore your work and hope to some day be your student!! I´m from Mexico btw, any chance you come here and teach a workshop???
Thank you! I don't currently have plans to teach a workshop in Mexico, but if someone wants to host one I'd be happy to teach there :)
That would be great! Maybe I could make it happen. Could you send me information about the costs of your courses. orevnika@yahoo.com Thanks a lot, looking forward to hearing from you. Odisea
