Wow, it's about time that someone addressed this important subject! Thanks for the link.
I am one of those female artists without children (not childless by choice, by bad biology). I often wonder if my work would be richer in content and message if I did have children. But the balance . . . .
It goes deeper though. I've even had experiences where individuals were interested in purchasing my work, and when they found out I was female, (???!!!) they lost interest. Perhaps they thought I would run off and have a child and never paint again???
I've always wanted to form a group of really fine women artists, and publicly show the work with pseudonyms. Only later revealing it as group of women.
