Learn the essentials of drawing what you see in a friendly, supportive environment.
Working from still life objects, from a simple ball to a human skull, this course builds a solid grounding in the essential principles for depicting believable objects.
The course is designed for all levels - from absolute beginner to experienced artists who want to gain a more solid grasp of fundamental principles. The class is appropriate to take more than once.
This class covers:
Proportion
A simple and intuitive method for finding accurate proportions without measuring
Value
Using dark and light to describe 3-dimensional form
Form
Construct and understand both organic (natural) and man-made objects
Perspective
The essential basics of perspective to make objects sit convincingly on a believable surface
Materials and Techniques
Refined methods for creating beautiful realism with graphite pencils
