Teapot and White Flowers SOLD

8 x 10 inches, oil on cradled panel

My mom gave me this teapot as a birthday present this year because I said I want to start a collection of teapots. I love the color of this one. Anyone know what these flowers are? They look kind of like roses, but they have no thorns.

Here are the process shots:

Could the flowers be ranunculus? I love what you've been painting lately!! I keep thinking with each one, "We should buy that!" and then I realize we can't. Maybe someday!

Thank you so much for your comment, Shifra, glad you are enjoying the paintings!

I just found out the name of the flower:

Apparently it's Lisianthus - looks a bit like like Ranunculus, but the leaves are pointy, not round. Here's a http://www.aboutflowers.com/fpvar/lisianth.html" REL="nofollow">picture.
